Privacy Policy & GDPR

Overview

We are strongly committed to safeguarding consumer privacy on our website. We operate under the following set of strict privacy principles:

The only information we obtain about our members for use is information we need for sending out newsletters, contacting members if/when required and auto-filling of orders for return customers. That information is never revealed, resold, or made public for any reason.

Personally identifiable information provided by members (name, e-mail or home address, etc.) is never disclosed to anyone.

We make use of a 3rd party payment gateway for processing of orders made on our website and we abide by the requirements of these 3rd party for processing of orders. Information collected by 3rd party payment gateway is encrypted and held, securely by our authorized payment gateway: Paystack.com. We do NOT hold credit card information

Visitors are people who have navigated to our site.The only consent required from Visitors is consent for our cookies. Our cookies enable us to manage your visit and remember preferences made - e.g. to remember whether a visitor consented to cookies and so disable the pop-up notice. We use Google Analytics to tell us which pages are more popular, and we use that to guide our content. Visitors can contact us using the Contact Form provided.

Completing the Contact Form: As this requires an email to reply to, Visitors give consent to the message being sent to us using secure transmission. Visitors consent to us responding to that message. The thread is kept to ensure continuity of correspondence. All emails are retained to protect our company in the event of litigation.

Visitors can join the site as Members. This will escalate the Visitor to “Member” status.

​

Completing the Membership form: The form requires the visitor to provide 'Member Data': name, email, username, strong password. Member Data is stored securely in our Members Database. Member Data is needed to allow the member to log in and access privileged content and participate in the private forums.

Visitors can subscribe to our newsletters. Subscribers are Visitors who have taken an extra consent step to receive our newsletters.

Complete a subscription form to receive our newsletters via email. The subscription form requires consent from the visitor to provide an email address and receive our newsletters. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time and the service will be terminated accordingly.

  6. Subscribers have the right to withdraw permission which they can do by clicking on the unsubscribe link in our communications or using the Contact Page 

  7. Subscribers have the right to be forgotten which they request by email using the Contact Page (Data will be deleted as permitted by legislative requirements)

Cookies

Private Forums

We provide our members with a multi-tiered message board (also known as "forum" or "forums") that makes sharing information with other members easy.

To protect your privacy when posting or replying to messages in the message board, your personal information and email is not revealed. However, remember that any information that you disclose in the message board areas can be read by all other members, so exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

In addition, when you sign up for membership and choose your username, that username will be displayed inside the members-only forum. You can use your real name as your member username but remember that it will be displayed inside the members-only area each time you make a post. If you prefer, you can use a pseudonym or nickname as your member username for more privacy.

Governing law

This policy and the use of this Site are governed by Nigerian law. If a dispute arises under this policy, we agree to first try to resolve it with the help of a mutually agreed-upon mediator in the following location: Lagos, Nigeria. Any costs and fees other than attorney fees associated with the mediation will be shared equally by each of us.

If it proves impossible to arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution through mediation, we agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration at the following location: Lagos, Nigeria, under the rules of the Arbitration Act 1996. Judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitration may be entered in any court with jurisdiction to do so.

 

Bodystation is controlled, operated and administered entirely within Nigeria. This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
